You Proud Ole State, the Volunteer

We have arrived and semi-settled in Tennessee. We love our new house and hate trying to mimic the antique style of the previous owners, so we will make our own style; think modern abstract meets Sesame Street. Grandma Charlotte has gone out into the old country to scour antique stores for furniture to match this great floor. Aunt Julia has come and gone and we miss her energy.
Holden has so many words now and is talking in two and sometimes three word sentences. H.C. likes to play outside with his "Dump trucks" and collects sticks on every outdoor expedition. Harrison is staying awake more, than he is sleeping. He likes to smile and coo when not grunting or spitting up. Identical to his big brother he will not sleep much during the night and hence NEITHER DO WE! YAY!

We have some of the nicest neighbors who have all been very welcoming. Most have grown up less than a block away and a few have offered their lawn equipment because of the many leaves in our yard ;).  We definitely have more "Jones'" here than we did in Key West.  Daddy will start work later this month and we are expecting Gran Gran and Jane for Thanksgiving. Paw Paw Perry has a scheduled visit as does Aunt Sarah! So y'all come round, ya hear!

This picture should sum up the difficulty level of trying to take family photos with Aunt Julia.

The Halloween Rooster
Enjoying his entire bounty a bag of M&Ms, one day he will ask about this photo.
"Helicopter!"

We are already taking up social issues that we got used to in Key West. We are petitioning local leaders for more pedestrian crossing points, bike lanes and recycling. This town is on the Top Ten Fastest Growing Cities list, so somewhere along the line the growth has gone to sprawl. Less growth has gone to progressive enterprises.
