I sure am glad I have Holden to help me raise...Holden. He lets us know all his wants and desires. He even asks permission to do things. Mommy isn't exactly Tiger Mom, but Holden has just turned into the greatest little Big Boy. Its not all peaches and cream though, today Holden stayed awake through nap time because he had a dirty diaper. Something Daddy should have caught but mistook the talking as energy and not an accident. Well, when Holden misses nap time you can bet that normally minor issues turn into more serious events, sometimes requiring tears.

Fire Marshall Holden dropping of some fire suppression systems for the stove |
Holden questions the world around him by cocking his head to the side, squinting his eyes holding his hands up and raising his shoulders. After a two or three sentence response is given he stares into space as if digesting this knowledge and repeats a word or two of it. It..is...fascinating.
Of course no answer is totally complete when explaining things to a sub 2 year old.

Holden meets his hero |
The other day Mommy was changing Harrison and he decided to take
advantage of a uncovered cannon and let loose with his most high
pressure bowels. Just to give you an idea of the distance covered by his
little cherub droppings, it went through the open door of the bed room
and across the hall. Had Mommy been hit in the
face she may have needed medical care. Harrison has a wicked case of
teenage acne so all photos of him have been airbrushed. Harrison is a great baby and likes to look around, today he recognized Mommy and gave her his first real smile!
A bit
of early nostalgia setting in as we do things for the last time. Unsure
of when our family of two Conch Republicans (unaffiliated with political party) will return to the
Keys. Four years of boat rides, paddle boards, sunset watching, fishing,
hosting, partying and easy livin' have come to a close and our boys will
learn what seasons are, rather quickly I'm afraid.

Tuesday Mommy, Mimi, Holden and Harrison get on a big jet airliner to begin life in the Upland South, Tennessee that is. Daddy will follow by car and we will catch y'all on the flip side.
